I’m so sad this group broke up. This 1973 record of Boscoe’s, conveys an explosive live act unclouded by the passage of time. All music is a human time capsule of emotions and energy, but this one always strikes me good. It’s completely free of studio polish, every damn bass run booms, and all the vocals rumbles over reverb. On side A Of the record, it’s about a war for peace that black America was fighting at the time, Malcolm X's violent passing, and a parody of "The Star Spangled Banner," delivered by a crawling funk fusion with harsh words and including blaring horns. I love this record so much and my father used to play it all the time for me growing up. Thanks for posting this.
